We believe that God's purpose for the church is clearly expressed in Colossians 1:28 which states:
We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.
There are four distinct directives contained within this verse that we identify with the simple acronym A.C.T.S.
Acquire - The Lost
The Great Commission commands us to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. At Clifton Assembly of God we preach the Gospel proclaiming Jesus as Lord! CAG is a great place to invite your friends and family that need to experience God's power and find true life.
Connect - The Family
Real life Change happens in the context of relationships. Primarily as you come into a right relationship with Jesus, and continue as you come into healthy relationship with the body of Christ. CAG's ministry groups provide the perfect place to belong to a group of friends with a goal of growing and maturing spiritually. Our groups meet throughout the week and there is sure to be one that will fit you just right. So, take a few minutes and find a ministry group that's just right for you.
Train - The Faithful
Each one of us on our own spiritual journey are seeking answers to life's greatest questions. Part of the purpose of the church is to teach and train up the body - to come alongside as you discover the answers and find your own purpose in God's will.
Serve - The People
Ultimately the purpose of the church is to equip you for the work of ministry. CAG believes that we are most effective when we find our unique purpose and ministry within the local church.
