God called us to the mission field in 2015. At the time we did not understand the scope of disaster relief. When God called, we went and God has orchestrated every step along the way. We are given the opportunity to step into someone’s darkest moment and light their world up with Jesus. It is so beautiful to see people grasp the hope that only Jesus can bring! Most have lost vehicles, jobs, home, all their possessions & some loved ones.
We minister the Word of God, while serving them at no cost. We gut homes, pile debris, tarp roofs, repair roofs, rebuild homes and more. People are so thankful to us and we point them to the One that orchestrated it, Jesus. We follow God’s lead and if He says go, we go, if He says stay, we stay. We cannot write how this has blessed so many lives, including ours.
In Odum, GA. we were blessed to help sweet Rhonda, a Psalms 91 miracle. She & her dog survived a tornado that picked her house up & rolled it four times. She woke up standing next to her mattress beside what use to be her house. Nothing in her house survived, not the piano, fridge, water heater, walls; only her and her puppy. This is a miracle! We were blessed to fix her storage shed, remove trees, debris and much more.
In Blountstown, FL., we met a man while fixing a roof. He met Jesus and this is what this ministry is all about.
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you,” Isaiah 43:2 This ministry is focused on God’s lovingkindness and exemplifying this through our actions towards others. When we were naming the ministry, we looked up kind heart in the Greek dictionary, Charis (grace & lovingkindness) Kardia (heart). “Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another,” 1 John 4:11
Charis Kardia comes in to share God’s love and help others fight back, when they have lost hope. “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,” 2 Corinthians 10:3-4. “I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus,” Philippians 3:14
Thank you, Clifton Assembly, for your prayers and support toward the call of God on our lives.
May God open the floors of Heaven and pour out His many blessings upon you all!
With Great Love & Blessings,
Brian & Keley Nelson
